Who we are

The contact form

When you fill in the contact form, we receive your name, company and email address, and, if you provide them, your phone number, the technologies you work with and your message. We only use this data to answer and follow up on your request. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering questions, and the steps you ask for towards a possible contract.

We keep your request as long as needed to follow it up, and at most two years after the last contact, unless you become a customer.

Job applications

When you apply, we receive your name, email address and the vacancy, and, if you provide them, your phone number, your message and the files you attach, such as your CV. We only use this data to assess your application and contact you. It goes straight to our mailbox and is not stored on the website. The legal basis is the steps you ask for towards a possible employment contract.

We keep your application as long as it is useful for the vacancy you applied for and for later vacancies that suit you, unless you ask us to delete it.

Who else sees your data

We don't sell your data or share it for marketing. These service providers process data on our behalf:

• Google Cloud (European region) hosts the website.
• Google Workspace handles the email that the forms send.
• Google reCAPTCHA protects the forms against spam. The script only loads once you start filling in a form, and sends technical data such as your IP address and browser details to Google.

Cookies

We use no analytics, no advertising cookies and no trackers.

• Language cookie: remembers whether you want to see the site in Dutch or English. Functional, valid for one year.
• reCAPTCHA: Google may set cookies once you use the contact or application form.
• HappQuote demo: on the HappQuote page it only loads once you scroll to the demo. The demo uses maps and aerial photos from external services, which may set their own cookies.
• HappDraw demo: on the HappDraw page it only loads once you scroll to the demo. The demo runs on our own server, sets no cookies and keeps nothing you draw.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data, and object to its processing. To do so, email info@happit.be. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels.
